People land on Music listings for different reasons. The question behind Gear Advice Without Turning the Room Into Affiliate Soup is how to use those chats without wasting a week on noise.

Write rules people can obey

ΓÇ£Be niceΓÇ¥ is not a rule. Ban payment requests, piracy, hate, and off-topic forwards by name. For Music, add the category-specific bans (leaks, signals, medical claims, etc.) in one screen of text.

Enforce evenly

Friends of the admin should not get a free spam pass. Publish a short log: removed for X. Burnout is realΓÇörecruit a second admin before you disappear.

Handover

If you leave, transfer ownership and update this directory listing so strangers do not join an abandoned invite. Replace the link here rather than posting five competing URLs.

Moderation is unpaid labor. If you run a Music group, decide your maximum weekly hours and recruit before you hit that ceiling. Write removal reasons. Ban raid patterns early. Turn off admin-message impersonation where WhatsApp allows it. Pin a single source-of-truth message and delete duplicates. When you travel, appoint a deputy with the same standards, not a friend who ΓÇ£will just keep it active.ΓÇ¥ Activity without standards is how rooms die. This guideΓÇöΓÇ£Gear Advice Without Turning the Room Into Affiliate SoupΓÇ¥ΓÇöis also for members: good members make moderation cheaper by not feeding trolls and by reporting instead of quote-tweeting abuse inside the chat. If the owner disappears, this directory can take expired-link reports and hide the listing so the internet stops sending people into a void.

How this directory treats Music listings

Invite links must be globally unique. Similar titles and descriptions are rewritten from an internal content bank so pages do not clone each other. You can submit a group without registering; rate limits apply. If a link expires, use the report type for inactive invites.
